Animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up with dogs, cats and all kinds of other animals, and I’ve always loved spending time with them—playing with them, teaching and training them, taking them for walks, and simply having them by my side.
I had always wanted a German Shepherd. At first, I was drawn to their beautiful appearance and the sense of protection and security they provide. Once I owned one, I fell in love with how truly well-rounded the breed is. They’re intelligent, loyal, eager to learn and incredibly devoted to their families.
My husband, Jim, and I have been married for 16 years, and we brought home our first German Shepherd in 2011.
When Titan came into our lives in 2020, my understanding of the breed really began to grow. I started sharing Titan on social media, connected with other German Shepherd owners and breeders, and began learning much more about pedigrees, bloodlines, genetics and the breed itself.
That knowledge eventually played a big part in choosing Sapphire. I wanted a female whose background and qualities complemented what I loved about Titan, knowing from the beginning that we would wait years for her to mature before considering breeding.
Our dogs are family first, and that carries directly into the way we raise their puppies. We want to put our time, attention and love into raising puppies with a strong beginning and finding families who understand and appreciate the German Shepherd breed.
